As the world hasn't ended, I figured it was time for a Christmas blog post!
I'm taking a short break from the book, letting the muse play in a different sandbox for a few days as a Christmas present. After Christmas I'll start the final edit for the final beta read and do the road trip mapping with the help of a lounge-size map of the west coast of America and Google. While not part of the actual story, it would be embarrassing to get everything word-perfect then to mess up the distance between town A and town B!
Once that's all done it's Kindle formatting time and planning for the launch party. It's very exciting that the start of my 2013 will be dedicated to doing the thing I've wanted to do all my life. Exciting and scary!
So not much to report on the book this time, but I wanted to wish you all a very happy and relaxing Christmas, or simply a happy holiday if you'd prefer, and an exciting new year. As I type I'm sitting in our warm lounge next to a bright Christmas tree with a glass of mulled wine and munchies while it pees it down outside. Can't help but wish it was colder because if all that water was snow I'd be able to go out and make snow angels like they do in (spoiler alert!)... The House at the End of the World.
May Santa fill your Christmas stocking with whatever you wish for!
